Ch 8Verse 8
Adhyāya 8 Shloka 8

अभ्यासयोगयुक्तेन चेतसा नान्यगामिना | परमं पुरुषं दिव्यं याति पार्थानुचिन्तयन् || ८ ||

abhyāsa-yoga-yuktena cetasā nānya-gāminā | paramaṃ puruṣaṃ divyaṃ yāti pārthānucintayan || 8 ||

"He who meditates on Me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, his mind constantly engaged in remembering Me, undeviated from the path, he, O Partha, is sure to reach Me."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna explains exactly *how* to achieve the continuous remembrance commanded in Verse 7. He states: By being thoroughly disciplined and yoked to the relentless practice of repetition (abhyāsa-yoga-yuktena), with a mind and consciousness that absolutely does not wander or stray to anything else (cetasā nānya-gāminā). By constantly, continuously meditating and reflecting (anucintayan) in this manner, that person inevitably reaches and attains (yāti) the Supreme, Divine, and Radiant Person (paramaṃ puruṣaṃ divyaṃ), O son of Pritha (pārtha).
