Ch 8Verse 7
Adhyāya 8 Shloka 7

तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु मामनुस्मर युध्य च | मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्मामेवैष्यस्यसंशयम् || ७ ||

tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu mām anusmara yudhya ca | mayy arpita-mano-buddhir mām evaiṣyasy asaṃśayam || 7 ||

"Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Krishna and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

This is one of the most operationally significant verses in the entire Gita. Krishna gives the ultimate, paradoxical command. Therefore (tasmāt), at all times and in all circumstances without exception (sarveṣu kāleṣu), constantly remember and think of Me (mām anusmara), and simultaneously, FIGHT (yudhya ca). By completely dedicating, offering, and surrendering your mind and your intellect to Me (mayy arpita-mano-buddhir), you will absolutely come to Me and attain Me (mām evaiṣyasi), of this there is no doubt (asaṃśayam).
