Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

After laying out the terrifyingly strict, mechanical, physical exit protocol of the previous verses, Krishna suddenly offers an overwhelming breath of relief and grace. He declares: For that person who possesses a mind that absolutely never wanders to anything else (ananya-cetāḥ), and who remembers Me constantly, continuously, and without any break (satataṃ yo māṃ smarati nityaśaḥ)—for that specific, constantly yoked and devoted Yogi (nitya-yuktasya yoginaḥ), I am incredibly easy to attain and easily obtained (tasyāhaṃ sulabhaḥ), O son of Pritha (pārtha).
