Ch 7Verse 2
Adhyāya 7 Shloka 2

ज्ञानं तेऽहं सविज्ञानमिदं वक्ष्याम्यशेषत: | यज्ज्ञात्वा नेह भूयोऽन्यज्ज्ञातव्यमवशिष्यते || २ ||

jñānaṃ te 'haṃ sa-vijñānam idaṃ vakṣyāmy aśeṣataḥ | yaj jñātvā neha bhūyo 'nyaj jñātavyam avaśiṣyate || 2 ||

"I shall now declare unto you in full this knowledge, both phenomenal and numinous. This being known, nothing further shall remain for you to know."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna makes an astonishing, absolute promise regarding the scope of his upcoming revelation. He says: I shall now speak and declare unto you (ahaṃ te vakṣyāmi) this complete knowledge (idaṃ jñānaṃ) along with its profound, experiential realization (sa-vijñānam), entirely and without leaving anything out (aśeṣataḥ). What is the result of acquiring this? Having known this (yaj jñātvā), there will absolutely be nothing else remaining in this world (neha bhūyo 'nyaj avaśiṣyate) that needs to be known (jñātavyam).
