Ch 2Verse 65
Adhyāya 2 Shloka 65

प्रसादे सर्वदु:खानां हानिरस्योपजायते | प्रसन्नचेतसो ह्याशु बुद्धि: पर्यवतिष्ठते || ६५ ||

prasāde sarva-duḥkhānāṃ hānir asyopajāyate | prasanna-cetaso hy āśu buddhiḥ paryavatiṣṭhate || 65 ||

"For one thus satisfied (in Krishna consciousness), the threefold miseries of material existence exist no longer; in such satisfied consciousness, one's intelligence is soon well established."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna details the miraculous consequences of attaining 'Prasādam' (the profound tranquility mentioned in verse 64). When this peace is established (prasāde), there is an immediate destruction (hānir) of all sorrows and miseries (sarva-duḥkhānāṃ). For a person whose mind is thus joyful, clear, and tranquil (prasanna-cetaso), their intellect (buddhiḥ) very quickly (āśu) becomes firmly and permanently established (paryavatiṣṭhate) in the Absolute Truth.
