Krishna brings the philosophical truth down to a fierce, practical command. He reiterates that these material bodies (ime dehā) are inherently finite and destined to end (antavanta). However, the embodied soul (śarīriṇaḥ) within them is eternal (nityasya), indestructible (anāśino), and immeasurable (aprameyasya). Because this is the absolute truth of reality, Krishna commands Arjuna to stop mourning the inevitable and execute his duty: 'tasmād yudhyasva' (therefore, fight).
