Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Sañjaya addresses King Dhṛtarāṣṭra (rājan). He states that as he continuously remembers and recalls over and over again (saṁsmṛtya saṁsmṛtya) this deeply wondrous (adbhutam) and supremely holy (puṇyaṁ) conversation between Keśava (Krishna) and Arjuna, he rejoices and is thrilled at every single moment, again and again (hṛṣyāmi ca muhur muhuḥ).
