Adhyāya 18 Shloka 75

व्यासप्रसादाच्छ्रुतवानेतद्गुह्यमहं परम् | योगं योगेश्वरात्कृष्णात्साक्षात्कथयतः स्वयम् || ७५ ||

vyāsa-prasādāc chrutavān etad guhyam ahaṁ param | yogaṁ yogeśvarāt kṛṣṇāt sākṣāt kathayataḥ svayam || 75 ||

"By the mercy of Vyāsa, I have heard these most confidential talks directly from the master of all mysticism, Kṛṣṇa, who was speaking personally to Arjuna."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Sañjaya explains how he, sitting miles away in a palace, was able to hear a battlefield conversation. He credits it entirely to the mercy and grace of his spiritual master, Vyāsadeva (vyāsa-prasādāc). Through this mystic vision, he heard this supreme, confidential knowledge (etad guhyam ahaṁ param) regarding yoga directly (sākṣāt) from the ultimate master of all mysticism, Krishna Himself (yogeśvarāt kṛṣṇāt), as He was personally speaking it (kathayataḥ svayam).
