The perspective now shifts back to Sañjaya, the mystic visionary narrating the battle to the blind King Dhṛtarāṣṭra. Sañjaya concludes his narration by stating: 'Thus, I have heard (ity ahaṁ aśrauṣam) this conversation (saṁvādam) between Vāsudeva (Krishna) and the great-souled Pārtha (Arjuna).' He describes the conversation as profoundly wondrous and astonishing (adbhutaṁ), so much so that it causes his hair to stand on end in sheer ecstasy (roma-harṣaṇam).
