Ch 18Verse 69
Adhyāya 18 Shloka 69

न च तस्मान्मनुष्येषु कश्चिन्मे प्रियकृत्तमः | भविता न च मे तस्मादन्यः प्रियतरो भुवि || ६९ ||

na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu kaścin me priya-kṛttamaḥ | bhavitā na ca me tasmād anyaḥ priyataro bhuvi || 69 ||

"There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna makes a definitive and incredibly emotional statement about the messenger of His words. Among all human beings (manuṣyeṣu), there is no one who performs a more pleasing service to Him (na ca kaścin me priya-kṛttamaḥ) than the one who shares this knowledge. Furthermore, Krishna guarantees that there never will be anyone on earth dearer to Him (na ca me tasmād anyaḥ priyataro bhuvi) than such a person.
