Ch 18Verse 62
Adhyāya 18 Shloka 62

तमेव शरणं गच्छ सर्वभावेन भारत | तत्प्रसादात्परां शान्तिं स्थानं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम् || ६२ ||

tam eva śaraṇaṁ gaccha sarva-bhāvena bhārata | tat-prasādāt parāṁ śāntiṁ sthānaṁ prāpsyasi śāśvatam || 62 ||

"O scion of Bharata, surrender unto Him utterly. By His grace you will attain transcendental peace and the supreme and eternal abode."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Based on the revelation of the previous verse, Krishna tells Arjuna the only logical next step. Since the Supreme Lord is in your heart driving the machine, surrender unto Him utterly and completely (tam eva śaraṇaṁ gaccha sarva-bhāvena), with your entire being. What is the result? By His divine grace alone (tat-prasādāt), you will attain the ultimate, transcendental peace (parāṁ śāntiṁ) and eventually reach the supreme, eternal spiritual abode (sthānaṁ prāpsyasi śāśvatam).
