Krishna reveals the ultimate mechanism of cosmic control. The Supreme Controller (Īśvaraḥ) is personally situated within the core of the heart of every single living being (sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛd-deśe tiṣṭhati). From this central control room, He directs the wanderings and movements (bhrāmayan) of all entities. Krishna compares the living entities to passengers seated on a complex machine (yantrārūḍhāni) constructed entirely out of the illusory material energy (māyayā).
