Adhyāya 12 Shloka 2

श्रीभगवानुवाच | मय्यावेश्य मनो ये मां नित्ययुक्ता उपासते | श्रद्धया परयोपेतास्ते मे युक्ततमा मताः || २ ||

śrī-bhagavān uvāca | mayy āveśya mano ye māṃ nitya-yuktā upāsate | śraddhayā parayopetās te me yuktatamā matāḥ || 2 ||

"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

The Supreme Lord immediately and decisively answers Arjuna's question. He declares: Those specific individuals (ye) who completely absorb, immerse, and fix their minds upon Me (mayy āveśya mano), and who worship Me (māṃ upāsate) while being constantly and perpetually engaged (nitya-yuktā), endowed with the highest, supreme transcendental faith (śraddhayā parayopetās)—they (te) are considered and accepted by Me (me matāḥ) to be the absolute highest and most perfect of all yogis (yuktatamā).
