Ch 11Verse 7
Adhyāya 11 Shloka 7

इहैकस्थं जगत्कृत्स्नं पश्याद्य सचराचरम् | मम देहे गुडाकेश यच्चान्यद्द्रष्टुमिच्छसि || ७ ||

ihaika-sthaṃ jagat kṛtsnaṃ paśyādya sa-carācaram | mama dehe guḍākeśa yac cānyad draṣṭum icchasi || 7 ||

"O Arjuna, whatever you wish to see, behold at once in this body of Mine! This universal form can show you whatever you now desire to see and whatever you may want to see in the future. Everything—moving and nonmoving—is here completely, in one place."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna expands the parameters of the vision to absolute infinity. He addresses Arjuna (guḍākeśa) and commands: Behold today, right here in this one place (paśyādya ihaika-sthaṃ), the entire, complete cosmic universe (jagat kṛtsnaṃ), including everything that moves and everything that is stationary (sa-carācaram), situated within My body (mama dehe). Furthermore, whatever else you might possibly desire to see (yac cānyad draṣṭum icchasi), whether of the past, present, or future, you can see it all right here.
