"You have been perturbed and bewildered by seeing this horrible feature of Mine. Now let it be finished. My devotee, be free again from all disturbances. With a peaceful mind you can now see the form you desire."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

The Supreme Lord gently withdraws the terrifying vision, recognizing Arjuna's distress. He says: Let there be no more fear, pain, or perturbation for you (mā te vyathā), and let there be no more bewilderment or confusion of mind (mā ca vimūḍha-bhāvo) from having seen (dṛṣṭvā) this exceptionally fierce, horrible, and terrifying form of Mine (rūpaṃ ghoram īdṛṅ mamedam). Let all of that be dispelled. Now, becoming entirely free from fear (vyapeta-bhīḥ) and with a joyful, peaceful, and pleased mind (prīta-manāḥ), behold and see once again (punas tvaṃ prapaśya) this specific, original form of Mine that you so deeply desire (tad eva me rūpam idaṃ).
