"For whatever I have done in madness or in love, whether I was alone or in front of others, relaxing, resting, sitting or eating, I have dishonored You. Please forgive me, O infallible one, for You are immeasurable."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Arjuna's flood of regret continues as he lists specific instances of potential disrespect. He says: Furthermore, for whatever way You were dishonored or treated disrespectfully by me (yac cāvahāsārtham asat-kṛto 'si) just for the sake of joking or making fun during our times of relaxation, while resting on the same bed, sitting together, or eating meals (vihāra-śayyāsana-bhojaneṣu). Whether I did this while we were entirely alone (eko), or perhaps even directly in front of others (athavāpy tat-samakṣaṃ). O infallible, faultless one (acyuta), I beg and implore You for complete forgiveness for all of those offenses (tat kṣāmaye tvām aham), O Immeasurable One (aprameyam).
