Adhyāya 10 Shloka 3

यो मामजमनादिं च वेत्ति लोकमहेश्वरम् | असम्मूढः स मर्त्येषु सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते || ३ ||

yo mām ajam anādiṃ ca vetti loka-maheśvaram | asammūḍhaḥ sa martyeṣu sarva-pāpaiḥ pramucyate || 3 ||

"He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds—he only, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna outlines the profound result of truly understanding His nature. He states that whoever truly knows and realizes Him (yo mām vetti) as unborn (ajam), beginningless (anādiṃ), and as the supreme master and controller of all planetary systems and worlds (loka-maheśvaram)—that specific person remains undeluded and free from illusion (asammūḍhaḥ) among all mortal beings (sa martyeṣu). Consequently, they are completely liberated and freed from all sinful reactions (sarva-pāpaiḥ pramucyate).
