Ch 10Verse 18
Adhyāya 10 Shloka 18

विस्तरेणात्मनो योगं विभूतिं च जनार्दन | भूयः कथय तृप्तिर्हि शृण्वतो नास्ति मेऽमृतम् || १८ ||

vistareṇātmano yogaṃ vibhūtiṃ ca janārdana | bhūyaḥ kathaya tṛptir hi śṛṇvato nāsti me 'mṛtam || 18 ||

"O Janardana, again please describe in detail the mystic power of Your opulences. I am never satiated in hearing about You, for the more I hear the sweeter it tastes."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Arjuna pleads for Krishna to continue speaking. He addresses Him as Janārdana (the maintainer of the people and destroyer of the atheists) and makes a fervent request: Please speak and describe (kathaya) yet again (bhūyaḥ), and in great, extensive detail (vistareṇa), Your mystic power and union with the cosmos (ātmano yogaṃ) and Your majestic opulences (vibhūtiṃ ca). Arjuna explains his motivation: Because, as I hear this absolute nectar (śṛṇvato me 'mṛtam), there is simply no satiation or fullness (tṛptir hi nāsti). I can never get enough of it.
