Ch 10Verse 19
Adhyāya 10 Shloka 19

श्रीभगवानुवाच | हन्त ते कथयिष्यामि दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतयः | प्राधान्यतः कुरुश्रेष्ठ नास्त्यन्तो विस्तरस्य मे || १९ ||

śrī-bhagavān uvāca | hanta te kathayiṣyāmi divyā hy ātma-vibhūtayaḥ | prādhānyataḥ kuru-śreṣṭha nāsty anto vistarasya me || 19 ||

"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Yes, I will tell you of My splendorous manifestations, but only of those which are prominent, O best of the Kurus, for My opulence is limitless."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

The Supreme Lord graciously accepts Arjuna's request. He responds: 'Yes indeed (hanta), I shall certainly describe and declare to you (te kathayiṣyāmi) My divine, transcendental opulences (divyā hy ātma-vibhūtayaḥ).' However, Krishna sets a crucial boundary, addressing Arjuna as the best of the Kurus (kuru-śreṣṭha): He will describe them only principally or by focusing on the most prominent examples (prādhānyataḥ). He explains the mathematical impossibility of doing otherwise: 'Because there is absolutely no end or limit (nāsty anto) to the vast, expansive extent of My manifestations (vistarasya me).'
