अन्ये च बहवः शूरा मदर्थे त्यक्तजीविताः | नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणाः सर्वे युद्धविशारदाः || ९ ||

anye ca bahavaḥ śūrā mad-arthe tyakta-jīvitāḥ | nānā-śastra-praharaṇāḥ sarve yuddha-viśāradāḥ || 9 ||

"And there are many other heroes who are prepared to lay down their lives for my sake. They are all equipped with various weapons and are highly skilled in the art of warfare."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Duryodhana is surveying his vast army, which was larger than the Pandavas' (11 Akshauhinis vs. 7). He points out that beyond the famous generals, there are countless other heroes ready to fight. He is trying to reassure Dronacharya—and himself—that their numbers and equipment make them superior. He emphasizes their 'skill in warfare' to dismiss any doubt about their readiness.
