Ch 1Verse 21
Adhyāya 1 Shloka 21

अर्जुन उवाच | सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये रथं स्थापय मेऽच्युत || २१ ||

arjuna uvāca | senayor ubhayor madhye rathaṃ sthāpaya me 'cyuta || 21 ||

"Arjuna said: O Infallible One (Krishna), please draw my chariot between the two armies."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

The battle is about to commence. While Duryodhana was busy boasting and seeking validation (in the previous verses), Arjuna takes a radically different approach. Before firing a single arrow, he commands his charioteer, Krishna, to drive him into the very center of the battlefield. He needs a vantage point. He addresses Krishna as 'Acyuta' (the Infallible/Unchanging One).
