वेदेषु यज्ञेषु तप:सु चैव दानेषु यत्पुण्यफलं प्रदिष्टम् | अत्येति तत्सर्वमिदं विदित्वा योगी परं स्थानमुपैति चाद्यम् || २८ ||

vedeṣu yajñeṣu tapaḥsu caiva dāneṣu yat puṇya-phalaṃ pradiṣṭam | atyeti tat sarvam idaṃ viditvā yogī paraṃ sthānam upaiti cādyam || 28 ||

"A person who accepts the path of devotional service is not bereft of the results derived from studying the Vedas, performing austere sacrifices, giving charity or pursuing philosophical and fruitive activities. Simply by performing devotional service, he attains all these, and at the end he reaches the supreme eternal abode."

In the magnificent capstone of Chapter 8, Krishna delivers the ultimate ROI (Return on Investment) of the Yoga path. He declares: Whatever pious results and rewards are promised and dictated (yat puṇya-phalaṃ pradiṣṭam) for the exhaustive study of the Vedas (vedeṣu), for the performance of complex sacrifices (yajñeṣu), for grueling physical austerities (tapaḥsu caiva), and for massive acts of charity (dāneṣu)—the Yogi completely surpasses, transcends, and oversteps absolutely all of them (atyeti tat sarvam) simply by knowing and realizing this profound truth (idaṃ viditvā). Ultimately, that Yogi attains the supreme, original, and eternal abode of the Absolute (paraṃ sthānam upaiti cādyam).
