Adhyāya 7 Shloka 30

sādhibhūtādhidaivaṃ māṃ sādhiyajñaṃ ca ye viduḥ | prayāṇa-kāle 'pi ca māṃ te vidur yukta-cetasaḥ || 30 ||

"Those in full consciousness of Me, who know Me, the Supreme Lord, to be the governing principle of the material manifestation, of the demigods, and of all methods of sacrifice, can understand and know Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, even at the time of death."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

In the final verse of Chapter 7, Krishna drops a series of heavy, technical, cosmic terms, culminating in the ultimate test of mastery. He declares: Those who truly know and comprehend Me (māṃ ye viduḥ) as the underlying principle governing the material manifestation (sādhibhūta), as the governing principle of all celestial deities/demigods (adhidaivaṃ), and as the ultimate receiver and lord of all sacrifices (sādhiyajñaṃ ca). Such people, whose minds are perfectly yoked and absorbed in Me (yukta-cetasaḥ), successfully know and remember Me (māṃ te vidur) even at the terrifying moment of their physical death (prayāṇa-kāle 'pi ca).
