धृष्टकेतुश्चेकितानः काशिराजश्च वीर्यवान् | पुरुजित्कुन्तिभोजश्च शैब्यश्च नरपुङ्गवः || ५ ||

dhṛṣṭaketuścekitānaḥ kāśirājaśca vīryavān | purujit kuntibhojaśca śaibyaśca narapuṅgavaḥ || 5 ||

"There are also Dhrishtaketu, Chekitana, and the valiant King of Kashi; Purujit, Kuntibhoja, and Shaibya, who are the best among men."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Duryodhana continues to point out the diverse and powerful coalition supporting the Pandavas. Dhrishtaketu was the king of the Chedis; Chekitana was a brave Yadava warrior; the King of Kashi was renowned for his archery. Purujit and Kuntibhoja were Kunti’s brothers (Arjuna's uncles), and Shaibya was a prominent king. Historically, this shows that the Pandavas had managed to gather the support of the most virtuous and powerful kings of the era, further unsettling Duryodhana.
