Ch 4Verse 32
Adhyāya 4 Shloka 32

एवं बहुविधा यज्ञा वितता ब्रह्मणो मुखे | कर्मजान्विद्धि तान्सर्वानेवं ज्ञात्वा विमोक्ष्यसे || ३२ ||

evaṃ bahu-vidhā yajñā vitatā brahmaṇo mukhe | karma-jān viddhi tān sarvān evaṃ jñātvā vimokṣyase || 32 ||

"All these different types of sacrifice are approved by the Vedas, and all of them are born of different types of work. Knowing them as such, you will become liberated."

Historical Context

The Direct Meaning

Krishna summarizes the entire preceding catalog of sacrifices. He confirms that all these various, multi-faceted types of sacrifices (evaṃ bahu-vidhā yajñā) are spread out or detailed extensively in the mouth of the Vedas/the Absolute Truth (vitatā brahmaṇo mukhe). He emphasizes a critical point: you must know (viddhi) that absolutely all of them (tān sarvān) are born of action or work (karma-jān). By fully comprehending this mechanical truth (evaṃ jñātvā), you will be liberated (vimokṣyase).
