इच्छा द्वेषः सुखं दुःखं सङ्घातश्चेतना धृतिः | एतत्क्षेत्रं समासेन सविकारमुदाहृतम् || ७ ||

icchā dveṣaḥ sukhaṁ duḥkhaṁ saṅghātaś cetanā dhṛtiḥ | etat kṣetraṁ samāsena sa-vikāram udāhṛtam || 7 ||

"Desire, hatred, happiness, distress, the aggregate, the life symptoms, and convictions—all these are considered, in summary, to be the field of activities and its interactions."

Having listed the raw materials in verse 6, Krishna now lists the 'interactions' or byproducts of these elements combining. Emotions, life symptoms, and convictions are generated when the soul interacts with the 24 elements.
